
Red Mediterranean Corallum Rubrum, carved in the shape of Bacchus, the god of wine, fertility, music and theatre in Greek and Roman mythology. The figure of Bacchus is often depicted with a crown of vines, symbolising abundance and liberation. Corallum Rubrum and the figure of Bacchus were used against evil forces and they were symbols of prosperity, joy and fertility.
